Allowing Nintendo free run with the Wii 2 would be a huge mistake. They would literally be giving the 8th generation all to Nintendo for themselves.
Many developers hare crying out for new hardware - Capcom, Unbisoft, Crytek etc...
Many gamers want new tech.
This makes absolutly no sense.

I do not believe Micrsoft will just sit there and allow Nintendo a huge head start into the 8th generation of home consoles.
I do not believe Sony will allow Microsoft another years head start again. It cost them too much this time.

The 360 is 6 years old. Anew console by Nintendo BETTER have more power.
From what we've been hearing, the Wii 2 is an extension of this generation. It doesn't have the power to be a next gen console. Sad shame.

Sony's consoles have always had a 10 year life cycle, but their successors have always released 5-6 into the current life cycle.
Check your history fanboys, PS1 was 5 years old when the PS2 released. The PS2 was 6 years old.

Why would you 'jump in' because it can play B3? Your other non nintendo consoles can play that game.
The causal won't buy it, they are happy with the Wii and are sheeping the Kinect at the moment. The hardcore won't buy it if it is weaker than the PS3.
That leaves the 20-30 million nintendo fanboys again. I sense another gamecube coming on.
If it has the same power as a 6 year old Xbox 360 whats the point?
Nintendo have the casuals already, and the hardcore are not going to drop their PC's/PS3's for this.
I'd like Halo 4 is be more like Metroid Prime and less about the muliplayer.
Wouldn't mind some co-op though.
And it MUST come out on the new console in 2012. It must!
